Long Grove, IL, August 23, 2019 –The annual Galway Farm Classic features a full education schedule featuring USEF licensed official Diane Carney. As a former ASPCA Maclay Medal finals judge and experienced hunter, jumper and equitation judge, Carney will provide a judge's perspective to riders, trainers, auditors and parents to help them prepare for upcoming finals competition at any level from local to National. In addition to the two day riding clinic, Carney will judge the Hunter Derby and Equitation Classic on Sunday and provide feedback to explain the results and give suggestions for improving scores. Spectators are invited to judge the classes as well to learn what it's like to see competition from  the judge's point of view.  The Galway Hunter Derby and Equitation Classic take place September 6-8, 2019 at Galway Farm in Long Grove, Illinois.

In addition to Carney, Cathy Penrod, Performance Specialist, is the keynote speaker during the Saturday

evening dinner. Penrod specializes in helping riders break through internal barriers, overcome fear, conquer nerves, and take their performance to the next level using customized programs. Performance coaching is a proven and effective way to bring about extraordinary and sustainable results, especially when it comes to sports and competition.

Always a fun and educational weekend, the dinner includes a festive taco truck with authentic Mexican fare while dining in the awesome Galway event venue.

Participants will have the opportunity to practice their skills on Sunday with the Galway Equitation Classic and the Galway Hunter Derby. Carney will offer feedback from the judge's perspective after the classes.

Auditors are welcome to learn from the clinic and can judge with Carney on Sunday to see if they can match the results. Everyone can enjoy an amazing champagne brunch while watching the classes.

Whether you are heading to the Illinois Hunter Jumper Assoc. Medal Finals, a USHJA Zone final or the indoor finals, you won't want to miss this opportunity to prepare.

The clinic offers three groups of riders at heights of 2'6" - 3’6" for juniors, amateurs and professionals.

Riders receive feedback from Carney on horse show day.

Past professionals that participated in the clinic gave it rave reviews for the constructive feedback given from the judge. Everyone found the weekend to be helpful for fine tuning horses and riders before finals.
